Our communication policies

Seven Health under contract to Hometown Research, a division of Urgent Care Specialists, LLC dba Hometown Urgent Care and Research, uses SMS text messaging and phone calls to communicate with clinical trial participants and patients regarding study opportunities, appointment scheduling, and general customer care.

Individuals are enrolled in SMS and voice communications only after providing express consent. Consent is collected in one or more of the following ways:

Verbally, during a screening call, office visit, or enrollment appointment with a Hometown Research coordinator or clinic staff member
In writing, via an intake form, consent form, or online inquiry submitted directly to Hometown Research or Hometown Urgent Care
By the individual voluntarily providing their phone number and requesting follow-up regarding a clinical trial or care service

No phone numbers are purchased, rented, or obtained from third-party lists. All recipients are existing patients within the Hometown Urgent Care system or individuals who have directly expressed interest in clinical trial participation or research services.

Types of Messages Sent

Clinical trial recruitment and screening outreach
Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
Study visit updates and coordinator follow-up
General patient customer care inquiries

Verbal opt-in script (screening/enrollment call)

Coordinators can read this verbatim or paraphrase closely, but the core disclosure elements need to stay intact:

"Before we continue, I'd like your permission to follow up with you by text message. If you agree, Hometown Research may text you about clinical trial opportunities you may qualify for, appointment reminders, and updates about your study visits. Message frequency will vary, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Do I have your permission to text you at this number?"

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
